Short Biography:
Bria's first professional
singing appearance was performing the National Anthem for the Norfolk Admirals
in March 2007 when she was 11. Now 13, she has performed the Anthem
over 39 times to a combined audience of over 230,000 people!
During 2007, Bria was a founding member of a local teen pop group which performed all over the Hampton Roads, VA area. Bria was
also a top-30 finalist in the 2007 season of the web-based singing
competition, TotalPopStar.com.
But her most distinguished accomplishment was winning the Philadelphia Eagles'
2007 National Anthem competition at age 11. For her prize,
she
sang the Anthem for a Philadelphia Eagles / New York Jets NFL football
game in Philadelphia on Aug. 30th, 2007. She has also
performed
the Anthem for the Washington
Redskins, the Norfolk
Tides, the Richmond
Renegades, the Air
Force and Navy,
Relay for Life,
and the USO.
Bria has opened for Tracy
Lawrence, Travis
Tritt, REO
Speedwagon, Hootie
and the Blowfish, the Drew
Davis Band, Sara
Evans, Taylor
Swift, Rascal
Flatts and Heidi
Newfield. Bria also supports local military and
charitable functions by performing for as many of these as she can.
Bria won first place for vocals in her local 2008 fair, and has been
personally invited by the president of the Virginia State Fair
to perform for them in 2009. She has sung songs such as
Martina
McBride's "Anyway" and Howie Day's "Collide" at the Richmond Coliseum
during breaks in the Renegades' hockey games. In addition,
Bria
has been performing as a guest vocalist with the Grant Austin Taylor Band
- Grant is a phenomenal 13-year-old guitarist and songwriter who has
performed all over the country. His song "Make This Love
Last"
(with Bria on vocals with Grant as a duet, and Charlie Austin on
fiddle) was made into a music video and submitted to CMT.com, where it
was a top-64 selection in their Music
City Madness competition for 2008.
In addition to the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, Bria has performed
live in Nashville, TN, both at the world-famous Cadillac Ranch and
on the TV show "Nashville
Spotlight".
